When a person walks into your salon to get a hair-cut done, please please try not to assume anything about the individual’s likes or dislikes, will ya ? Can you please not assume that everyone wants their hair stylish ? Did it ever occur to you that some people come for their hair-cut only because they want their hair-short - to save on the washing and drying time. To save on the combing and styling time. Yes, I want my hair short. No, I do not want step, high-step, low-step, super-low step. No, I dont want it styled and set nicely either after the job is done. Yes, despite the fact that you think it does’nt look great , I still will tie it up. No, I dont think hair falling on the face is stylish ! It obstructs my vision.
Can you please listen to me when I tell, re-tell how my hair needs to be cut ? I usually also confirm, re-confirm, re-re-confirm that you’ve understood. Because once the damage is done, I can do nothing but wait for a coupla months until it grows back.

i know how it feels. Once upon a time i had dhoni style hair and one cut did all the damage.. !! :(.
It was so badly done, after a couple of months wait, I went bald!!

I really feel ashamed of me now ! me who wanted to go to the hairdresser tomorrow, for a (at least) 3 hour session to have a perfectly blond and straight stylish hair while my husband will take care of the kids, house hold, cooking, ironing, …..(no there I am clearly dreaming ! never mind…). So I was saying that I admit, I like to go to the hair dresser : first it means that I will have several hours to spend with a good book and do NOTHING ELSE. Then it means that after staring at myself during the whole preparation session and considering myself as absolutely ridiculous with all the stuff on my head, the last final glance makes me feel for a few seconds as if I am ready to play Rachel in “Friends” ! Should I dare to say ….Delicious ? and yes I can stand at least for 30s to have my hair in front of my eyes !
But I get your point, you know what you want and when people do not understand that very simple wish you have for your hair (- cut), it makes you …. unhappy, énervé. Please Lavanya post a picture with your stylish hair cut !!!
